In Light of Nature Photography takes Internet user privacy and data protection very seriously.  At In Light of Nature Photography we maintain the privacy and confidentiality of any personal information, such as your name, address, email address, or telephone number that you provide to us.   We do not collect, use or disclose your personal information for any purpose other than those identified below, except with your consent or as required by law.

Personal information we collect

In order for you to  purchase merchandise, or register for workshops and tours, we require some information from you.  We need your name, address, phone number, e-mail address, and billing and shipping information.  The billing information we require is your credit card type, number, expiration date, and billing address.  For shipping we require the name(s), address, and phone number of the intended recipient(s).

If you choose to create an account at In Light of Nature Photography we will need your e-mail, which we will verify.  You can choose your username and secure password when establishing an account with us.  You do not need to create an account in order to visit our website.  Some content on the website is only visible to registered users though (e.g. tutorials, field guides, videos, and other premium content).  You do need to create an account with us when making purchases — this is required so that we can communicate with you about your order(s) if the need arises.

For your privacy and security, In Light of Nature Photography does not store your credit card numbers in your account.

Cookies

In Light of Nature Photography uses session cookies to improve your shopping experience on our website.  You can control the storage of cookies by adjusting the settings of your browser, including how to be notified when a cookie is about to be stored, erasing cookies after visiting a website, and preventing cookies from being stored.  If you choose to delete any In Light of Nature Photography cookies, that is fine, you can still visit our website and order merchandise or sign up for workshops — you will just have to re-enter any previous information on your next visit to our website.

Information In Light of Nature Photography shares with third parties

In Light of Nature Photography does not rent, sell, or exchange your name or other personally-identifiable information (PII) to third-party companies for their marketing purposes.  Certain organizations help us fulfill orders, process credit card transactions, and deliver packages.  We may share personal information required to process credit card transactions and deliver merchandise with these organizations. These third parties are not authorized to use your information for any reason other than to perform their contractually assigned functions in the scope of credit card processing, delivery, printing, and packaging.

We may be required to disclose your personal information to third parties if necessary to comply with applicable laws, subpoenas, or court orders.

Mailing Lists

If you sign up for my mailing list, or any other group contact list that I might offer, the option always exists for you to unsubscribe at anytime.  In Light of Nature Photography uses Active Campaign and WordPress to manage our mailing lists.  Mailing lists are treated as confidential and not shared with anyone else or third parties.

Tracking Statistics

In Light of Nature Photography uses Google Analytics to gather usage information (click rates, click maps) on our website.  The information Google Analytics collects does not contain any of your personal information that could be used to identify who you are.
