Recently, home for another trip to Alaska, I am reminded of the noble bears that live in the wilderness. They sleep for much of the year, hibernating below ground. Their time in the sun goes quickly as they feast on what they can find in nature

It is autumn and soon time for this bear to reap his busy six months of foraging and feasting on salmon, berries, grasses, and insects for a long sleep.
